Introduction

I love media. No matter the form, content, or style, nothing has affected my development as a person, 

been as much of a catalyst for my intellectual growth, or struck me emotionally more than well-made media. Applying to

college, I struggled to determine what I wanted to do with my life. What I’ve realized is that nothing 

that could be more worthwhile than making something I can be proud of. Only before I took this class I had no

idea how to make media or even know what worthwhile media looked like. Nearing the end of the 

semester I can say that I feel grounded. I have an understanding, albeit a basic one, and I know now that I 

have all the tools to make whatever I can think of.
